The drupa cube is an 11-day conference program where innovators from all over the world will congregate to present the latest technology and newest ideas. The theme of this year’s drupa cube presentations is “Touch the Future”. A variety of presentations on innovation, design, creativity and technology will show attendees the future of the printing industry, including what technologies are most important to invest in. “New technologies like printed electronics and 3D printing, creative multichannel applications, and the use of digital printing techniques in packaging and other sectors continue to illustrate the amazing potential of print,” says Sabine Geldermann, director of drupa.
touchpoint 3D fab + print
Touchpoint is a showcase of ideas, success stories, and insights into additive manufacturing. With the rising popularity of 3D printers, it is essential that those in the printing industry know how to best harness this unique manufacturing process. 3D printing offers several exciting possibilities for new business models.
This year, drupa’s themes will highlight the changing aspects of the printing industry. The six major themes of the show are: print, functional printing, packaging production, multichannel, 3D printing, and green printing. These are the areas in the printing industry that show the most potential for growth and innovation. At the show, there will be several presentations revolving around these six important themes.
In an effort to integrate the trade show with the city of Dusseldorf, drupa will be conducting drupacity, a series of events held at different points around the city of Dusseldorf over the eleven days of the show. Events include a rolling 3D printing laboratory and 3D printing presentations in the city center. Events in drupacity will be open to anyone, so locals and visitors alike can be exposed to the exciting world of print and media!
